Few months after renovating my home, I tried to find an application for leftover construction plaster. After spending few days and dozens of trials and errors I finally found a fast paste method to form thin relief with low density of colours based on black and white portrait sketches. This method offers minimal possibility of undoing or modifying shapes after few seconds of forming over surface.
Inspired by two sculpting styles, American 21’st Century and Impressionistic, the whispers series’ main emphasize is the type and the direction of light to form two completely different contrast effects on the image.
Following shows different effects on my first piece:
- Metallic Bronze Painted Relief
- Halogen Light Diffused from top
- Front Natural
- Vanille, my dog 24″x20″
- Details from behind canvas
- Original Sketch
